For those that prefer or can not afford fishing boat, here is some
suggestions and ideas to enjoy the sport of night fishing.
What is neat about bobber set in or out of a boat, you can adjust the
depth of the light. But it has been proven that 2' foot works the best.
Choose a color light of your choise, would suggest 35' electrial line.
bank or pier may not allow you enough to reach the water depths for
fishing. With a 35' you can fish off high piers and cast light farther
away from shore line. You can use up to 150' wire without amp lose.
Consider making yourself a cart or strap to carry a small type starter
battery. They can be found on e-bay or Harbor freight, starting at
about $15.00 upwards to high ends.
Chumming bag In addition there is a swivel that one can attach a chumming bag. (The chumming bag is not included) The chumming bag could be about the size of pack of cigarettes (don’t smoke). Take some cotton balls and put them into the chum bag and add some of your favorite bait scent. This method is intended to speed up the process of attracting your game fish. Zoo Plankton are little iddy bitti things and will take them about 45 minutes to swim to the light.
Another trick is just add dry dog food or bread crumbs. Either method make note that the cloth of the chum bag needs to be somewhat porous to allow the flow of your scent or crumbs to get into the food chain.
Bobber hookup (Bobber not included) You may elect to use a bobber, that way one can throw out the light away from shore or boat and fish into the light. Or you may elect to just hang your Reel Widget off the side of the boat, or pier.
